Prop List

Mise-en-scene is very important when producing a film, all the materials and resources used need to be relevent and reflect the mood of the film. We participated in many group decisions before we mutually decided on following our photography theme. Our "tagger" takes photographs of his victims which we show through our use of props. We filmed this main mise-en-scene section in the dark room and used a red lighting for effect (black and red, being the best colours to use in a thriller opening-negative connotations).

magazine and newspaper cut outs (sometimes to display victims or poison pen titles)
- crosswords from newspapers (we wrote the word ‘tagged’ on this several times)
- scales
- screw drivers (a weapon)
- absurd phgotographs (to create a ‘creepy’ feel)
- black tape
- pegs (to hold up pictures on line - used in the development of photographs)
- scissors (to cut up pictures by villlain and a possible weapon)
- photographs of gravestones cut out crossed through with pen (we took these pictures ourseves and reflects the villain’s dark personality)
- developing fluid (to set the scene that he is developing pictures of his victims
- newspaper page (the newspaper he cut the cuttings from)
- washing line (to hang the pictures and various other things on)
- camera film reel (again, to set the scene of a dark room)
- timer (used in the development of photos - we used this to set the scene and make it a specialised theme)
- gloves (used to develop photos)
- thermometer (take the temprature of fluids - reinforcing the setting)
